Emotinal Stress

Im wondering if docs would cancel surgery because of suffering a traumatizing emotional situation?
it seems my husband has decided to check out of our marraige...he cheated, begged to come home and go to therapy, then decided that the guilt of what he did was killing him and it broke his heart to look at me so he was going to crawl under a rock and skip therapy...anyway, Im wondering if I should tell my doctor that I am going thru this. Im afraid he will say to wait until I am more stable. My surgery isnt until the 24th and I have all intentions if having my surgery.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's decision.  Personally, I would go ahead and have the surgery.  You need to do it for yourself.  I would let your doctor know of the stress, but I would not let it stop you, unless you feel you need more time.  Take care and God bless!

I had surgery scheduled and I decided to postpone it myself when i went through some horrible stress...which resulted in post traumatic stress disorder.  I decided to get through the rough time and on the other side of it I would be able to handle the surgery and all that comes after it much better. just the way I handled things. you have to do what feels right for you. my therapist did help me reach my decision but untimately the decision is yours Mary. I am sorry for the hard time you are going through. I feel for you.

Mary, I will be praying for you.  You still have some time to decide. Don't jump into a decision one way or another.  Talk to your doctor; take your time,  If you don't feel ready, don't do it.  Good Luck!  You never know how God might use this situation!!

Oh, I am definately having my surgery. It will be a fresh start all around! Looking forward to it.

I guess I was just thinking of what the doctors might say....
