I am a stomach sleeper but am afraid to sleep on my stomach. So I tried to sleep on my back but it is too hard. So I end up sleeping on my side but I am ot getting a full nighs sleep. Any advice.

It'll take some time, but you'll be able to sleep on your stomach again eventually.  I too am a stomach sleeper, and for the first few weeks after surgery it was REALLY hard to get a good nights sleep...I just hate sleeping on my back for lengthy amounts of time (I always end up with a crick in my neck!).   Thankfully after a few weeks you shouldn't have any issues, after a few weeks of healing I could sleep whichever way I wanted....I don't see why you wouldn't be able to as well.

My butt is big and round like the letter C and ten thousand lunges have made it rounder but not smaller and thats just fine. Its a space heater for my side of the bed. My butt is big and that's just fine and those who might scorn it are invited to kiss it. -Nike Ad

why don't you try sleeping next to a pillow, or get a body pillow and lean on this when you are on your side?  I  did this when i was pregnant, and plan on doing so once i am banded...

It will be just a matter of days until you can sleep on your stomach again.  Until then, keep a pillow handy to put under your tummy when you lay on your side - that will make the incisions more comfortable.  Sleeping wasn't comfortable for me because I felt I could not do my normal moving around in bed, until I was finally able to sleep on my tummy.

Im a stomach sleeper too...and I MISS it! Im three weeks out and still find it uncomfortable to sleep fully on my stomach like I used to.

Like everyone else said...I have a 'smooshy' pillow that I stuff under my stomach and I kinda hug that so Im half on my side and half on my stomach. Thats working for me for now...but theres not much room for me, the pillow, DH and the cat! LOL

Good Luck.

thanks to everyone who answered me. I have been using the extra pillow just not able to get a full nights sleep. I need to be able to sleep through the night so I am not tired during the day and then can go back to work full time.
