Not a social worker, but an ER Nurse.  I've seen more cases of abuse/neglect than I care too.  One case is too many in my opinion.

WOW, it's amazing to me all of you do-gooders out there!  Nurses, social workers, teachers! 

I guess there is definitely something to be said about caring for other people before yourself.  I wonder if it is a coincidence that so many of us that are overweight are in these fields?

I work in the finance world and I think I'm the only fat person in the entire industry!  Well, I'm not that fat anymore, only kinda fat :-)

My first degree was in Social Work/Counseling/Psyc.  (triple major)
I worked with CPS and as a Junvenile Probation Officer.

After 5 years in the field, I returned to school and got my nursing degree.  I've been an RN for 19 years now.  I've worked with Peds, Neonates and Family Practice as a Care Manager.

I love the Social Work/Nursing positions, I think they go hand in hand.

My mom has an MSW from U of L.  My dad went to law school there.

I am a lawyer.


10 cc band - 2/27 - 4 cc; 4/10 - 1.5 cc; 5/21 - 2 cc; 11/19 - 1 cc; 7/8 - .5 cc  = 9 cc total

I'm totally a social worker! I manage a program for proufoundly developmentally disabled adults to live in the community  vs. and institutional setting. i've been here since I was 19, so 15 years now...I love my work!
