I've lost 35.5 lbs since surgery!  I know this is not a significant number to most, and it doesn't move me down one of the big numbers (still got 13 lbs to go for that), nowhere near goal, but it's huge for me.  In all of the times I've dieted to lose weight, I've never been able to break 35 lbs lost.  I'd lose 35, then hit a wall, eventually give up, gain it all back along with it's friends and neighbors, and keep heading up.  I can't tell you how many times I've lost exactly 35 lbs and not one ounce more.  Psychologically that half a pound means a lot to me.  Its like confirmation that this really is different, that I really can make this work!  I've been bouncing around 33 for nearly a week, and I was getting nervous, like "here we go again", and to step on the scale this morning and see that I passed the mark makes all the difference.

Thanks for listening to me ramble.

Hi Jessica

So let me get this straight....you've lost 35.5 lbs since July???  Is that correct?   My friend, that is an awesome, awesome loss!!!  I've lost 40 lbs since JANUARY!!!   So you are way ahead of the curve!   Whatever you are doing, keep doing because you are doing an awesome job!  This will work for you if you put the work into it, some times will be harder then others and you will hit times when you are in "bandster hell" and will have to diet to get past it until you have proper restriction again.  But in the meantime, keep rocking that band!

Don't ever think that your loss isn't significant to others, its all our own journey and some lose fast and some lose slow but the main goal in to keep seeing that scale go down!

Congrats on your success so far and keep posting your progress!

Yes.  35.5 lbs in 6 weeks, 1 day.  Things seem to be going well, LOL.  I know it won't last, and the rate of loss is slowing down a lot since the first couple of weeks, but overall, I am really happy with it.  I go tomorrow for my first fill, so we'll so how that goes and if it makes any difference to anything.  My band's empty right now, but I can still feel a big difference in how much I eat.  I just LOVE this!
