Off-Subject (sort of)....Giving Myself a Reward

I am currently on pre-op weight loss, doing low carb, my surgery will be in mid Oct. from what the  surgeon's scheduling assistant says (!)
I have always wanted a charm bracelet since I was a little girl.
I bought a beautiful silver bracelet and 1 charm at a fine jewelry store that was going out of business and everything was 70% off. I have decided for every 10 pounds I lose on this journey I am going to buy a charm for my bracelet. I want each charm to represent something that's personal to me and my life. I figure by the time I get to my goal weight, I will have a killer bracelet!  I rarely buy myself anything and I know part of being successful at this is learning to treat yourself as well as you treat the other people in your life.
Have a great day today guys.

That's an awesome idea!  It's good to reward you success!  I approached my weight loss 10 lbs at a time and still do.  It's a great way to keep moving forward without letting the "big number" seem so daunting.

I'll look forward to seeing your bracelet with 8 charms on it!

All the best!

My husband bought a Pandora charm bracelet the day of my surgery. I have now 5 charms and it is so much fun. When I see friends I had not seen for awhile the first  question is "How many charms, lets see them"

What a wonderful idea.  I wish I would have done something like that.  You're gonna have a new body to show off that beautiful bracelet.  How cool.

I think thats excellent..I try to track my weight loss goals in 10-15 pound increments. My hair stylist and I came up with the idea of a new style every 15 pounds.  Im 215 now and just cut my hair a little shorter, at 200 Im going for a little color!
