Can't use "smaller portions" card at buffet !?!
"So when families take their kids, other people will pay more later?"
Yes, they do. But really, you could figure this out for yourself, right? Not only do restaurants not make as much on kids, they spend more cleanig up after them. But, kids are an acceptable part of doing business. If they turned down kid, there would be a revolt, since most families have kids. Most families don't have a person who has had a WLS and because of that wants a "deal."
You can argue about this all you want, it doesn't change the fact that people with cards want special treatment. It's just not fair to the businesses and it's not fair to the rest of us who ONLY order what we can eat and take home left overs, if needed.

That is crazy. Inflation is not due to children who get discounts on the kids menu. The restaurants make plenty of money if they have the business. A discount isn't going to shut them down. AND if a restaurant is known to give WLS discounts, they get more business. There is no way they are going to lose money on any of us. That food is made, sitting there, and if they don't get butts in the seats, they are going to throw it out.
SURE the prices we pay are adjusted to the profit made on kid's meals. SOMEBODY has to pay the difference. Did you think a restaurant just sucks it up out of the kindness of their own hearts?
When did I say a discount would shut them down? They're in the business to make as much as they can. It's a business decision they make to not give discounts to people who decided to have a surgery. They obviously feel it's in their best interest to not honor a card that anyone can print off a computer. That's capitalism, baby!
Btw, can I get a discount because I'm cute? C'mon, I'm really cute. I have a card right here! I'll tell my friends to go there too, because they're cute too. There is no way they are going to lose money on any of us.

I want a card in trade for only using one plate and one fork. I don't drink with my meals so no glass and no water. I want a discount because they are saving money. I won't use mayo either. I want a discount. ;o)
Heck, I want a discount for not bringing 3 screaming kids in with me. They would make more money giving me a discount vs. giving 3 screaming brats discounts and having to clean up after them.

Now, now! Why are you referring to children as "brats". Speaking of double standards. I find that offensive. I have children who scream and I am insulted that you would use such hateful adjectives about them! "SCREAMING" children are brats and don't you dare suggest you have never been in a restaurant, a plane, church... somewhere when someone did not let their bratty kid scream non stop.
That's hardly the same as referring to a very specific ethnic group as eating kittens.
But go ahead, be insulted. If that's the best ya have I'm doing pretty good.

I am looking at your picture and I do not think you would get a discount for being cute. Let me look again, no, sorry. You would actually have to be cute to get the discount. You might have to pay extra. There is an unwritten rule on boards such as this in that NOBODY comments in a negative manner about someone's appearance. This is the ONLY place we have that is safe from really childish and ignorant comments such as yours.
I think you will find that you won't be making any friends or getting much support if you continue with that behavior. Argue the points, slam dunk them if you want. But nevvvvver insult someone's appearance. We have all had enough of that throughout our lives, this is supposed to be the one place we are free from attacks like what you just did.
Very not cool. One can only imagine that you are jealous. Either way, it does not make you look good at all. Cynthia happens to be beautiful. I really think you owe her an apology for being so crass and breaking one of the very few unwritten rules here. You should be ashamed.
