It does not take much strength to do things, but it requires great strength to decide what to do.

Hmm, I think I was born pretty close to on time, and weighed 7lbs something, I was long though, I was in the 90th percentile for length, but then I ended up being a pretty average height, 5ft 6in.
This preemie connection is interesting though, a friend of mine had her baby early, he weighed 4 lbs 2 oz. He's about 6 weeks younger than my son, but weighs MORE than him now, and he's from a family of very thin people!

Really, if you looked at this pic, which one would you think had been premature?

Hmmmm, this is very interesting. Thank you so much for the responses.

Im not sure my theory holds though...maybe I'll come up with a spreadsheet when I have a chance. I was thinking maybe the smaller babies held more weight/were bigger.

I thought maybe that could be an answer to why Im the biggest in my family, even taller. IDK.

I was born in 1965 and was 7lbs., not sure on the oz.  My mom bottle fed me but I was lactose intolerant so I had issues there.  I'm curious how many babies were bottle fed vs. breast fed.  I guess that can be another poll another time!  I would venture to guess that adults that were breast fed as babies aren't as likely to be obese vs. those that were bottle fed.

Thats interesting Sue, I was bottle fed.

I know from stories that people were always stuffing me with food. I drank so much milk as a child, that when I finally got my two front teeth, they got holes right on the surface, I remember hearing something about all the calcium, so they had to be pulled.
