Nope, still didn't work.  Not sure what's happening.  It was working a few months ago.

I ditched the Boost 24 hours before the surgery. I couldnt stand the stuff. I am not a milk drinker so I found it very hard to take, and it was not doing good things to my stomach.

Nestle BeneProtein powder works very well with broth, juice, even coffee! It doesn't have as much protein as the other Nutrition store brands, but it dissolves so well that its my primary.

For my morning juice blend I am combining my liquid vitamins with 1 scoop Whey Superior - Protein Plus PowderRenew Life - Fiber-Tastic!, Organic no-sugar added Apple Cider, no sugar added Prune Nectar, and ice. I am getting 26g of protein in a 250 ml glass that is rather tasty. Natural sugars are not effecting me whatsoever.

I experimented yesterday with a single scrambled egg with great success. It was amazing, so I am slowly adding pureed high-protein veggies - eating a small amount every hour or two until I reach my protein level.

I also walked 5km yesterday. I burned nearly 600 calories but realized I had only taken in 300. Its pretty important for me to balance that out.

Forgive me if this is a stupid but I've gotten a couple of messages from members but I'm not able to reply to them.  I open the message and hit the "reply" button and a new screen opens but the message portion is grey and I can't type anything.  Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or if I need to change settings?  Thanks

I agree that what you're feeling is quite normal.  I had some (not all) of the same feelings as you described and struggled with feeling somewhat like a failure because I had to "resort" to surgery to get my weight under control.  I finally realized that if women can get their boobs enhanced for purely cosmetic reasons, I was NOT going to feel bad about having surgery for something that will make me healthy and hopefully extend my life.  I've not told a lot of people but I have told certain people and everyone has been supportive and encouraging.  I had my surgery on Wednesday and am just starting my journey but have no regrets.  I know it will be worth with to give me the life I want.  Feel free to PM me and I can try to answer specific questions.

Hi, Mike;

I had my surgery on Wednesday am and pretty much to same state as you (pain, BM, liquid consumption, etc.).  I'm wondering how you're doing with the protein intake and vitamins?  I'm having trouble with protein powder and am drinking Boost, believe it or not, instead of broth with protein powder.  I also find I have quite the aftertaste from all the vitamins.  Are you finding that as well?  The Boost does help with that as well.  I'm feeling much better today and am going to just stick to Boost until phase 2 foods.  I'm hoping with phase 2 foods will have strong eno ough flavours to mask the protein powder taste.

You're doing great with your recovering and thanks for sharing.  Its great to hear from someone who's going through it around the same time as me.

What your going through is normal, all of it. I don't think you will find anyone on here *****grets having the surgery or was not scared.
My biggest fear was what if I go through such measures and it doesn't work. It will work! I was embarrassed that I had to have surgery and still am when people ask how much I've lost, I rarely give them a number and tell them I dropped almost 5 dress sizes.
What your feeling is just one of the steps towards surgery
