No, I'm sorry I didn't notice the price of Ensure.  I found the Boost was on sale on the London Drugs website.  I just checked it and I see the flyer is no longer there so I expect the sale is over.  My apologies.

Topic: Again!

Well I am going for yet another surgery!  I have not been pain free since april of last year!  I have had 4 ulcers, 2 strictures, a perforated pouch and a fistula, as well as 2 internal hernias, and they removed my gallbladder for good measure.  All this and only 18 months out.  I feel so lucky.  Since having my gallbladder out in June I have continued to suffer from horrific nausea and pain.  I had an emergent side viewing scope done which shows an anastomotic ulcer on the jejeunal side of the join.  It is from poor blood supply.  They are now going to do a revision of the original surgery in early September.  Then I get to go thru the food phases again with a smaller pouch!   Mmmmm pureed chicken again.  Sorry for the vent, but this has been such a roller coaster ride....I so want to enjoy the new me, pain and nausea free.  The real challenge will be not to lose any weight after the revision.  Thanks for listening....kj

Topic: RE: food items from the states

Sondra, for sure I would like them. I go back to see the nutritionist and the kinesiologist next week for my 3 month post op appointment. I would love to know how others eat and what they do for protein. Presently I am not using any protein powder and my last instructioN from Jillian was to eat 60- 80 grams per day. I am able to do that without powder but I am eating around 1000 calories per day. Don't have a clue if that is too much Or too little or whatever. When I go next week to see them, I am going find out what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong.

I am losing weight but need some guidance about how to change up what I am eating and further information about protein powder etc. I am barely into my journey so need a little more information.

Thanks for anything you share with us.

Topic: Boost on sale

Hello everyone;

I just stopped at London Drug and picked up Boost on sale for $7.99.  They had stacks of it when I was there.  The keep the "diabetic" version separate from the other Boost products so you have to look in the diabetic section of the store.

Surgery date is 7 days away!  Can't believe the wait is almost over!

  Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.
