DVR SUPPORT GROUP

Hello... Hope all is well with you. I will not be there tomorrow. My father has his 3 month f/u tomorrow at 5pm and then we are going to leave as I will have the banana with me. So maybe I will run into you before the group starts. I have decided that I am not going to go to group as often as I find it not very helpful at this point in my journey. I just feel like being 2+ years out that I need something else. I can't sit and talk about the first 3 months forever. I was planning on starting my own group at my home but some other things have come up that I will fill you in on. So I hope that I see you tomorrow so we can catch up!!! Take care! Faye

Hey Faye & Anna - So glad to hear from you! How's your Dad? I hope to get there in time to see you, it'll probably be close to 6. I'll miss you at the group, but I understand if it's not giving you what you need. I get a lot of support from my family and the great group of people I've met here. I know you work weekends, but hope you know also that you are more than welcome to attend any/all of our get-togethers. We are all at various stages, from pre-op to newly post-op and so on. In addition to shopping and lunch, which we always seem to do, we also manage to have "round table" discussions about our experiences. Again, I know time with the banana is precious to you, but you and she are welcome to join us. If we don't see each other, smooch Anna for me and email me privately to "fill me in on stuff!!!" Hi Tia, I had my last supervised visit today and guess what I lost 3 1/2 pounds of the 4 1/2 I gained over the holidays. Sloan was quite happy and even congratulated me. lol What a relief girl I was stressing. Man I busted my hiney and I only lost 3 1/2 in a month. My goodness I am glad today is over. They told they are putting in authorization and I should hear something within 2 weeks. Now I am stressing about that! lol I am a worry wart. Then after that I met with Ann she is a very nice lady we had a nice talk. Well, so getting back to the reason I am posting to you in this thread. I don't have anyone to stay with my kids tomorrow. It makes me sad cause I did pay a program fee and I like to make use of the money I shelled out. lol i also feel bad cause I want to meet you all wonderful ladies. I am praying something changes and if it does I will be there in a heart beat! Hugs, Cira

Cira - YAY!!! I know you are SOOOOO relieved!!!! Girl, you just stress TOO, TOO much!!!! I guess after you get your approval, you'll be stressing over the surgery, too!!! Don't worry, it's all normal!!! I'm a worry wart, too!!! We'll get together eventually, so DON'T worry about that!!! Glad it's all coming together! Hang on for the ride! Tia

Hi Tia!!!!! Girl I am so excited but very nervous since I missed a call from GBMC today. Kathy called me but just said for me to call her tomorrow after 9am. I wonder what happened??? ughhh I amsuch a worry wart! lol Thank you always for the wonderful support. hugs, Cira

I should be at the group tonight given I will be there in the office late this afternoon anyway for my one year follow up- on my surgiversary date. I sort of feel the way Faye states too though- not sure that current group really meets any of my post op needs given the attendees are at such varied stages. C-Ya, Karen
