Happy Valentine's Day !!!

Hi Robin Thanks, yes hubby got to leave at 12 after them telling him he didnt have to come at all. But he came home and we enjoyed our day just hanging on the couch keeping warm. I think everyone had the same idea about curbside to go. Hubby went to pick it up this evening and there was a line of cars. Hope you have a great night and see you on the 24th hugs kelly

Good Morning Everyone!!! Happy Valentine's Day! Well, here I am sitting at my desk at work.....UGH! Commute was not the best but I made it! Power keeps flickering at home and when I went out to clean my vehicle off I saw the big oak tree in front of the house had dropped two large branches on my roomie's truck. Hit the phone line as well. So he's not going to be a happy camper when he gets up. I didn't have the heart to knock on his door when I left. OA called in today so at least the office environment will be pleasant all day! WOOHOO! So far it's just me and my boss here. Since she lives one street away from me, if she can make it in so can I! Mo, take care of youself....you don't need to get sick. Glad everyone seems to be able to stay warm and home today. Be careful and take it easy if you do have to go out. ~Heather

Heather!!! I was already committed to coming to work when the power went off at home. Not exactly sure what is going on but the police were turning cars on Ritchie Hway around southbound at Arnold Road. I had to backtrack and get to Baydale to get to 50, but the driving wasn't so bad. I'm always freaked in storms because we have so many trees close to the house. Heavy winds really worry me. We had a treetop come through the front window July 2005 and that was a scary feeling. I was feeling much perkier, but now that I am sitting still, my nose is running and the coughing/congestion is starting up again. Hugs, Mo

Oh Mo! That's not good.....have you taken anything? Glad you made it to work safe and sound. Looks like they are clearing the roads better. It wasn't too bad near my house but the closer I got to work in Landover Hills the roads weren't plowed as well or anything. I could hear the tree branches falling this morning while getting ready for work. Thank goodness none came into the house. It's a big tree and very heavy with ice right now. Normally I park across from the tree but last night it was so cold I parked under it. I was lucky they didn't fall on my vehicle. One was bending right over it this morning but I moved just in case! I couldn't imagine having that come into my house! ~Heather

Hi Mo, Happy Valentine's Day!! Did hubby surprised with anything? Mine did I woke up this morning to use the bathroom and when I sat half asleep on the toilet I see there is a card and a heart full of Rocher (sp) my favorite. I have never liked the Valentine heart full of those different chocolates so he always bought me these. My eyes got teary he wrote saying at least you get to have your last Rochers before surgery. He is such a sweetie the card is lovely as usual and I always save each one of them I am so sorry you are feeling sick I just read your update and see that you ventured out there to work already. I know you have to be sick not even mwention trying to make to the gym this morning. You take very good care of yourself I want to see you at Timbuktu!! Yes it looks nasty out there. I am not even venturing out for anything so I don't have to worry about it. Hubby does work in Falls Church Va and he pulled a douyble last night because two people called out at night shift. He arrived home at 6 this morning and leaves at 1pm again for his next shift at 3pm. Make sure to becareful going home today. Have a great Day! Big hugs to you! Cira

I left the office about 11:15 ( I got there at 9:05 to find out about 9:55 that we were closed .. go figure .. arghhh .. but at least this way I'm not charged any leave time). Power was out here at home, so I went in search of coffee ... 2 hours inthe office and I never made a pot of coffee .. DUH !!!! Wawa on 50 was without power .. so was 7-11 in the Cape, and the 7-11 in College village on Ritchie Hwy. I made it up to Severna Park and the shopping center with Kohls and Giant and Old Navy was going strong. Spent a while in Kohls and picked up a couple of sweaters on clearance, then on to Old Navy and two pairs of slacks for work on clearance (6.97/each). Then a LARGE chai at the Giant/Starbucks and on home. It's cold and dark here in the house. Thank goodness the laptop battery is charged. Have checked in with the office email and spending a few minutes checking in with my OH girls. .. then I'll shut down and build a fire and try to warm this place up. Talk to you soon! Hugs, Mo P.S. Hi Mo, I am so sorry you don't have electricity. Geesh I remember being wothout electricity for one full evening and entire night where I used to live in laurel a transformer blew out and it was freezing cold. We didn't have a fireplace either. Please if you want to come here my doors are open for you. Good deal at Kohls hey I want some of that chai!! You guys put me to it at the tea party. i was telling Terry that day that Chai tea reminded me of the milk my mom used to boil cinnamon sticks in there and add sugar don't know if anythign else and always gave me that before bedtime. That was so sweet that lefty left you a card in the truck? lol I guess Lefty must have been out and about adventuring out there. lol Big hugs to you girl i hope you get to feeling better and staying warm. Hi MO, I am glad to see you made it to work okay and that you are feeling better. I want to go to the gym today, don't really have an excuse not to since it's right here in the building. But I don't know if my schedule will allow for it. The gym is opening at noon but I have a conference call to attend to at 12:30. Maybe once that gets underway I can get go to the gym for at least some cardio. Its so pretty outside. I love the snow, and even with the sleet and freezing rain, it looks so pretty. Except for the roads. They are dirty and a mess. I am not sure if they are cleaning things u*****t but boy was it a mess this morning. They usually plow the snow better on our secondary roads but I guess this time they just wanted to try and tackle this with salt. I have an AWD truck so it wasn't bad for me. Busy as a beaver here at work so I'll be going now. I am trying really hard today to eat only protein and drink lots of water. It was late yesterday evening before I realized I hadn't had any water all day. Can't do that again today! Stay safe. Hugs, Robin

I'm home with no power and the wind is picking up and blowing the ice off the trees big time. It sounds like a war zone here with the ice chunk****ting the house. Will be fine if it's just ice and no tree parts!!! I wished I had my camera with me when I was leaving Annapolis earlier .. the trees along Rowe Blvd and around the State House were really pretty with the ice on them. It's a shame that something so pretty is so damaging to the trees! I've only had a couple of protein bars and a cup of chai today myself so I had better get busy with some water or liquid. Have no way to make anything hot unless we fire up the generator in the RV when Mr Mo gets home. Wish I had an idea how long we are going to be without power. Be safe going home. Hugs, Mo P.S.
