first COLD since WLS: what can I take?

Ok everyone I need some advice:  My throat hurts like HELL, my nose is all stufy and I need some Rest:  Is there anyone who knows what kind of cold medicine is safe to take?  I used to take the nyquil liquid caps but I am thinking Tylanol??? Any advice will be appreciated :   

I haven't crossed that bridge yet myself but I do believe anything with the name Tylenol in it is a safe bet. The Waldorf support group was supposed to distribute a small card with safe OTC meds listed on it but that never came.  I'll ask Kay about it and forward it if I get it. --Eric

Hi Darla, I am sorry you are sick.  As long as you stay away from NSAIDS  (Motrin-Ibuprofen, Naprosyn & etc) you wil be fine.  You can take your nyquil.   I hope you get to feeling better sson. Hugs,

Oh Man. I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I DO know that you have to stay away from any remedies that have Ibuprofen in it. But other than that, I guess others are fine. Thank the Lord I haven't gotten sick yet. Get well soon!!

You can get tylenol in a liquid cold formula. It is pretty good.

Thanks everyone :  I got  Tylanol cold formula caplets/ daytime and nighttime formula The nighttime knocked me out for nine hours and I don't feel fuzzy headed this morning so I highly  recommend it :  Will see how the daytime goes today.  Thanks all for your responses.l

Dayquil liquid (no sugar) is ok too, I have taken that.

Still have the cold but let me tellyou all  Tylanol nighttime cold medicine  ROCKS The daytime is good too. but the nighttime lets me get some sleep  Gotta love OTC meds
