Jen: I am so glad you posted here.  There was someone from Cambridge looking for a local support group earlier.  I told her about the support group you are starting. As far as I know I will be there will bells on....it will be a mere 5 days prior to my new surgery date!  WAHOO!!!!!! Let me know if I can help in any way. Deb

Wishing you all the best with the new support group out there. That is wonderful!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Jen, I just had to say hello.  I'm usually on the lap band board, as that is the type of surgery I had.  However, today I looked at the Maryland forum and there you were.  I was born and raised in Laurel, over on Horseys Pond.  I still have family there but live in Whaleyville, MD (across Burnt Swamp) now.  My niece lives near Phillips Hill, just off Rt. 24.  I'm assuming you live farther west a bit. By your email I'm wondering if you are a teacher.  My sister is a principal in Salisbury and my sister-in-law retired from Laurel a couple years ago.  My niece in law is a kindergarten teacher in Greenwood.  My sister is 13 years older than I am.  I saw how very hard she worked and veyr quickly decided that was not the career for me.  I'm in County government down here in Maryland. Anyway, I just had to say hi.  Good luck with your support group. Phyllis Wimbrow
