Singer Patti Austin Health Corner TV
Hey Gang, www.HealthCornerTV.com had the singer/actress Patti Austin on this a.m.; she had WL surgery over a year ago. She has dropped 140 lbs plus; and her comment was that WL surgery is not the easy way out as other have thier judgements and misconceptions with it! That the first 20 percent comes off easiest with the rest of it to follow only with your own hard work and dedications as if we had never had WLS! I wish that all the people who are in judgement about it would get thier facts straight before openning the big mouths! I am about 14 months out from my WLS; I have hit my share of plateau's and disappointments. Now I am telling myself I am still a great SUCESS; and this is a lifetime committment, a journey to health, happiness and a better life, (NOT A RACE)! Also a friend recently pointed out I still had the I'm FAT mentality! And your subconious can keep you from full sucess with negative self talk and images! So I am now change not only my appearrance; but my thought patterns as well! I am not in this to please others, to listen to their assesments of my life or appearance; I am in it for my DESERVING SELF! To anyone who walks with me, or is about to take this journey I say best wishes, live true to yourselves; and not to what others think or say! Step up to your life proudly! Best wishes to all.
