Walk on the Capitol

Hey everyone! Is anyone planning to attend The Walk On the Capitol, at the National Mall in DC on June 17?  My son and I plan to attend the walk, we already registered, but wanted to know if anyone from the area was going to attend.  I was hoping to take the Metro into DC, but honestly am not to familiar with it. and didn't want to get lost, LOL.  Parking is free for this event so we may drive instead, I haven't decided.  The event is at 6:30 p.m.  I just wanted to see if anyone else was planning on attending, and maybe was interested in carpooling?  Lisa
