Hey everybody: Just wanted to step in here and say hello.  We have been busy with following the eating, drinking, and walking schedule.  This whole thng is a job in and of itself.   The biggest challenge that I had last night was gas.  But I finally did have a bowel movement this evening which made me feel so much better.   I am now down to my pre-op weight which was 248, so I guess I will start counting te weight loss from here.   My mom is doing good, but she did cry in front of me this evening.  I think she's worried about me being ok.  My dad said that she hates to see me go through all of this.  I am sure it'l get better in time, especially when we see results.  I walked a great deal today and I think Denver is in for a shock.  I think I wore him out with the walking.  I varried the routes a bit and it seemed to help.   thanks again everyone for the support.  I'm feeling really good, so we'll see what the next couple of days will bring.  I have scheduled my 3 week, 3 month, and 6 month appointmnets. And I see my PCP on Monday for a follow-up.   Time to go take a shower and watch a movie.

Denna I have been thinking about you but did not want to bother you with your Mom and Dad there.  I am glad things are coming a long.  How is your diabetes?  Oh your poor Mom, it is hard now for her to see you this way but in the end it will be like a breath of fresh air for her. Stay positive and keep walking and drinking.  You can do this girl!  We are going to have to get Denver something extra special. I will try to call you sometime this weekend.

Hugs Kristen

Hi Denna, I am so glad to read that you are doing well so far.  Yes following the drinking, eating and walking schedule is s mmajor challenge but you can do this.  I know it is always hard for a Mom to see their child hurting or struggling. But in the long run it will be all worth while. Give Denver s good pat for me!   Take care and remember to try to take it easy when your body tells you to.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

It's good to know you are doing good. I was thinking that same thing about Denver, how he's going to be in for a bit of a surprise with all the walking you'll be doing. Keep up the good work. Candie

It sounds like you're doing very well and I'm glad to hear it.  Keep on walking as much as you can.  I'm sure Denver will be okay.  Give him a nice big bone for me! Eric
