My surgery is next Thursday at Johns Hopkins. I live in DE, so my mom, my son, and I will come down Wednesday and spend the night just in case I have an early arrival time. We plan to come down early Wednesday, early enough to do something.  Any suggestions?  BTW, they will be going to the Harbor on Friday (while I'm laying up in the hospital...  how nice lol).  So we need something else to do on Wednesday. TIA!

LOL they are going Friday.  Maybe I can talk them in to going Wednesday, because I would love to see it.

If you can get to the aquarium, it is awesome! I love it! The science center is cool, they have Speed Racer in IMAX. Your son may like that. The Zoo is pretty cool. Since you are from DE you already have tons of shopping, but Arundel Mills Mall is cool. They have the Midevil Times thing which is cool. Have fun! :o) Amy

I don't know if you are interested in this or not but at the Maryland Science Center, they are having the Body Worlds Exhibit. http://www.mdsci.org/  Everyone seems to be raving about this and my 17 year old was even interested in seeing it.  Basically exploration of the human body.  The link I included should get you to the information. It is my understanding that it's a lot to see with the exhibit so it might take a while. Also, I work in downtown Balto and my office overlooks Pratt Street. All day long, I see the tours that are put on by "the ducks".  An amphibious (sp?) boat/shuttle that floats on the harbor and then drives out onto the streets of Balto.  Everytime I see it, I want to jump on. They always look like they are having so much fun. http://www.baltimoreducks.com/ The harbor itself has plenty of shops.  There is a harbor shuttle that will take you to Fells Point, Harbor and you can't forget the birthplace of our National Anthem, Fort McHenry.  Don't know how old your son is, but the Constellation is at the harbor. There is also Museum of Art and Museum of Industry.  There is also a museum of african american history  that I've heard a lot about.  http://www.africanamericanculture.org/  Very close to the harbor (within walking distance). So much to do, so little time with 2 days - only one for you.  Have a good trip and safe surgery.  Good luck.   C!

I've seen Body Worlds here in Philly.  If you can get to it, GO!  It is awesome.  I've never seen anything like it. LOL the ducks.  We have them in Philly (where I work) and they leave from right up the street from my job.  They do look like fun, although the people blowing on those quacker things gets annoying LOL.  Thank you though for the great ideas!  I'll pass them on to my mom.
