Update to Update on Dad

Well he went to see the neurologist today:  He sent him for immediate bloodwork and set him up for two test tomorrow at 8:00 am at GBMC -  also one for  Tuesday evening at 6:00pm (results from bloodwork needed for this one) So again its hurry up and wait.  Frustrating to say the least. He cann't tell yet if there was a stroke and said that if it was a mild one they may not be able to tell even with the test.   I told dad again that if anything like this happens again he goes to the ER even if it takes the entire family dragging him kicking and screaming; I cann't help but think if he had had the test right away it would have been better.  Thanks or the prayers everyone and please keep them coming.

Darla, as someone who no longer has her parents, and misses them more with each passing day, I will keep your Dad in my prayers.

darla, thanks for the updates.  my dad is back in the hospital again with another internal infection that they cannot locate.  that means, back on high-powered antibiotics that will eventually stop working one of these days.  his doctor has already warned us that if the pattern continues, he will eventually have total sepsis and will die.  it's almost like his body is breaking down very slowly.

Darla, I am so sorry you do not yet have the answers you seek. Sometimes in these situations, all you can do is take it one day at a time. It certainly sounds like you are doing that. It also sounds like your Dad is getting the right amount of attention. Hopefully, this latest round of tests will yield some answers. Thinhing of you and your family - Debbie
