No, Clarice, it wasn't liver!!!  LOL!!!  With fava beans and a nice Chianti!!!  Actually, I don't like Chianti, too dry, so we'll use sangria!!!!

I'll email you with what it was - not liver, but close!!!

Glad to see you're up on the protein again!!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Friday:
B - Frozen protein shake (yes choc mint, again!)
S - Kashi Bar
L - Turkey and lite provologne roll up on whole wheat tortilla
S- Carrots
D - Greek Yogurt w.granola

Saturday (I was running a lot, so this was primarily a liquid day for me):
B - Frozen protein shake
S - Kashi Bar
L- - Frozen protein shake
D - Frozen protein shake

Sunday (Ah, my trouble day!)
B - Frozen protein shake (At least I am consistent!)
S - Kashi Bar
L - Frozen protein shake
S - SF Pudding - problem is that I did not measure it out and ate more than I should have. I really shuold not make it because I have trouble controlling it.
D - Fresh grilled Ahi tuna over salad greens (Went out to dinner)
S - Popcorn (This is something I have discovered lately. I just eat too much of it when I do it and I did not really need it. My day should have been done.

Monday - Back to staying on track!

Deb -

I REALLY don't see that you did anything wrong.  Portion control is my problem, too, that's why I LOVE the Jell-o preportioned containers - but I DON'T love the price.

Oh, yeah, I'm a popcorn-ho - movie, microwave, doesn't matter!!!  You COULD be picking a lot worse things to snack on, so stop beating yourself up!!!  Again, as far as portion control, they DO sell the mini bags - sometimes, it's just enough!!

You are right, it is not the what but the how much. I did overeat because the scale went up 2 lbs. this AM to prove it. When I let myself go, I really seem to do it big. This was the only slip up in over a week, so I am not going to beat myself up about it. I "allowed" myself to do it. I just have to pull myself up by the bootstraps and get back on track, which I know I can do now. I am still ahead of the rut I was in for the last couple of months. I am only a short bit away from weighing as much as I have lost - a true "half-way" point. I am looking forward to that. So I know I am OK even though I was not perfect. I am getting better at this beat myself up / don't beat myself up thing. One major change for me is that I admitted it publicly. That is not something that I would usually do in the past when I am unhappy or embarrassed with myself. Thanks to you and the board for this. Whether you all realize it or not, this is what has been helping me get through these rough spots and move forward. Thank you all!

Okay - what is this frozen shake business.  I'm very intrigued.  Do you just make the shake and freeze it, or is it a special mix?

Actually, I call it frozen because it is all slushy and I have to eat it with a spoon. I start with a base of Hood Calorie Countdown/Carb Control regular or Choc Milk as the base. Then I add my protein powder and any other flovorings as appropriate (i.e. mint extract, frozen peaches and peach extract, banana, peanut butter and banana extract as some examples - sometimes I use flavored SF syrups). Then I add ice and blend it up. The ice breaks down and it makes a thick slushy mixture that I call "frozen". Because of the consistency and the cold, I cannot eat it too fast and I always feel like I have had something substancial. You can all kinds of fun with the flavorings. Enjoy!
