Thank you for all the wonderful wishes.  I just got a call from the hospital and I've been bumbed back to 3:30,  UGH!!     I'm hungry, I'm nervous and I think Im going to go crazy.  Anyway,  I have Darla, Debbie and Kelly's numbers and will have my mom call when I'm done.  Thanks Again.  Colleen

I am so sorry you have been bumped. That is a risk for surgeries that are scheduled later in the day. Try to stay focused on how happy you will be when it is over. The preheated, toasty blankets they put on you in the OR are the best! Since you are usually knocked out quickly, you only get a short while to enjoy that part - lol!

By the way, I had my surgery at GBMC too. Since you are starting late, the volunteer that works the info desk in the surgery waiting room may leave for the day before your surgery is over. That is going to make the wait even more nerve wracking for your family. It was for mine. Sometimes the surgery runs a little longer than orignally planned. But that just means they are taking the time to ensure the best outcome for you. Someone will come out to talk to your family after you are done. In my case the surgeon did.
