GOOD MORNING MARYLAND

Since Tia isn't working today and I don't know if she will have time to post I thought I
would start off the list this morning.

Today I am grateful for

1.  Good Friends here on the board:  Played bingo with Tia, Nicole, Kathy, Toni and
Tias mom Friday night.  I needed something to bring me out of the dumps and that sure did it.
Thanks ladies and we will definatly have to do it again.

2.  That the scale has finally started moving again - and Tia will be glad of this one-
Mom donated some things to my closet -  well they are too big and I will have to donate them back to her.  But that means I need another roadtrip to Curve Appeal -  anyone wanna come
along?  Thanks too my Tshirt shopping addiction on the cruise I don't need blouses-
but I sure do need the bottems.

3.  My CD's -  I have a very long commute and this morning I turned on my
Laura Bryne CD-  The title track is " LIFE IS GOOD" -   its become my feel good song of late
and I think I'm gonna turn it on every morning to start the day out brighter.

So what are you grateful for today Maryland?

anyway, i am grateful for:

1. Yesterday i got lots of stuff done w/ my husband we actually got along. I think he is really trying to be a better husband. I am more than grateful for that. On the moon really.

2. My animals. They just give me so much love. Moosh just looks at me with his big eyes and i wanna smother him with kisses.

3. Things went well at my expo at work. I think I made a good impression on an important person so very happy bout that.

Greetings All,

1 - Family Time - I had some new memories added this weekend. We gathered to celebrate my twin nephew's 13th birthday. Besides the joy of getting together, it is wonderful to reflect on how far the boys have come since their scary beginning being born 3 months premature. Yes, they are in that awkward, moody stage. But that is also part of the fun of watching them grow up. Also, my oldest nephew and his girlfriend are officially engaged. They got the ring this weekend. This is not really a surprise since they have been a couple for 6 years and have always been open about their future together. Still this is an important formality and very exciting.

2 - Building Excitement for Vacation - It is becoming more and more real that the adventure of my trip to FL is coming fast. This is my first "active" trip since losing weight, so it will be full of special moments that I could not have realized with my old body. Yesterday, we actually had snorkel practice in an outdoor pool in the rain! Yes the water was cold when you first got in and cold when you stood up. But it was not too bad when you stayed down in it. This was the first time I had ever tried snorkeling. Once I got the mask adjusted right, it all was fine and I had no issues. Of course it will be more fun in FL, when I actually have something to look at underwater!

3 - Trying new foods - On Friday I had dinner with one of my groups of friends. We went to a Chinese restaurant, which I love anyway. But one of our group is Asian. So she took over and ordered a variety of things for us that we would not ordinarily try. Even with the surgery, I was able to sample a variety of things. There were many healthy choices. And we all had a great time.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Deb :  Congrats to your nephew and his fiancee-  My niece just returned from her
honeymoon yesterday - and I have to say the last few months were hectic for
my brother and his whole family but the wedding was beautiful and they can now start
their life together.  Family time is so precious - even more so as time goes by.

Also congrats on the snokeling adventure-  I know you are gonna have so much fun
on your vacation -  If you like the snorkeling you can let me know - maybe I will try that
on next years cruise.  Kathy and I are definatly gonna do the Zipline.
Thank God for WLS and being able to participate in life.

I will see you tonight !!!! No EXCUSES -  I'm BACK
