Kristina (Batting 1) Rocks!
Yesterday morning I called Dr. S to let him know I had had a fever ever since being discharged and a lot of continued pain. He said to come as soon as i could get there. I called any family and friends that would not be already working, and nobody was available to drive me. I was going to have to spend exorbitant taxicab fees if I went that route, and I couldn't drive due to being on pain meds.
I called Kristina, who lives in Frederick like I do, and she was gracious enough to help me out, no questions asked. What a relief.
We were together from 10:30am until we got back here after 9pm. What with going to the surgeon's office, and then being sent to the ER, having tests done to make sure I didn't have a leak or infection, we had a LOOOONG day together. I told her I was fine with her dropping me off and i would figure out a way home if I didn't need to be admitted back to the hospital, but she wouldn't have it. She said she wanted to pay it forward and stay with me and see things through.
Kristina deserves a medal for her patience, altruism, and willingness to pay it forward for another OHer. Thanks Kristina! No words can express how much I appreciate what you did for me! HUGS,

I am fine and the tests showed no infection or leak. Today my fever is gone and I feel much much better!
