Hi Brandi,

I am so glad that I was able to encourage and give some people a new found confidence that they can truly still work their tool no matter how far along they are post op.  Even pre ops can try it and it works wonders.

Keep us posted on how you do with the 5DPT.  Day 1 will be a killer so I will pray for your coworkers. I hope they survive it.  lol

Good luck!

Cira

P.S. check out the recipes ahead of time so you can prepare for each day in advance.  By the way s/f french vanilla pudding great value brand (walmart) is the bomb!   yummy! No after taste.

Thanks for the updates, Cira. I love seeing people that are a good way out and are still able to work their tools. My biggest fear is that I'll somehow "break" it and gain everything back. I'm going to start the pouch test Monday. Pray for my coworkers!

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

Well, just a quick update to let you all know that today is my last day of week 2. I must say that this pouch test diet works wonders and I am feeling great.  I am happy to report that I have not had any desire to munch on slider foods.  I am 1 1/2 pound away from my normal weight 144 and hopefully I can get rid of that within the next week.

I am going to continue with the rule of not drinking and eating and I am staying on track.  I want to work my tool forever! I have realized that I am in charge of my health and weight so I must make the effort to stay healthy and make this tool a complete success.

My daughter is doing great and said to me today I am not really hungry Mom.  So I am praying that she continues to eat healthy and lose more weight for her sake.

Gino did wonderful. He lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks and feels great. He hasn't been craving carbs either. Hopefully we can keep it like this for a good while.

Thank you for all your support and for taking this challenge with me.

Have a great day on purpose!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Wow that is great!  I hope a lot of people get to make use of the free support. I wish that was available when I was living in MD.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Ren,

I am glad you did an awesome choice and Ruby Tuesday.   Congratulations on the 5 pounds yay! I am so glad to read about your progress and success.
Keep me posted on how the second week goes for you.  This week has been really easy for me. I am not hungry at all and I am enjoying my new found pouch restriction.

Thank you so much for the support and inspiration.

Have a wonderful day on purpose.

Isn't it amazing? I had to remind myself all day yesterday to eat so I can meet my protein requirement. LOL I am really glad that we all here have eachother for support.  It keeps me on task and accountable when I know someone is counting on my updates. So I thank you very much for the support and friendship.
As for not dropping easily it is the same for me.  The only reason why I droped so much the first week it was because of the water weight.  I am only 1/2 pound less today but that means that I have to really work on getting that 1 1/2 pound off and keep the weight off.

Take care and keep up the great work. I can't wait to hear about today!

Nfarris thanks for your prompt reply.  I called the FHC and was surprised to hear that WLS is not covered.  Also, my income is too high for medicaid.  I might end up enrolling in the FHC and then find a company that does financing.  Thanks again.

That is such a nice message, Cira, thank you! It's so nice having the support to do it together. I have noticed that I'm not hungry, which in and of itself is weird. I love the renewed sense of control too. I have not lost anything else (weighed this morning and was the same as yesterday) but that's really typical of me. I'm a slow loser and always have been. Of course the RNY surgery has helped me lose 105 pounds in 8 months and by normal standards, that is NOT slow, but I've always been the kind if person that does not drop very easily. That 105 lbs has been with me working out very frequently, staying away from sugar and trying not to over stuff myself. It hasn't been without some of my old ugly habits though. :)

Congrats on your renewed weight loss! That's great.

I didn't realize I was out of canned Salmon! :(  I had the fake crab sticks instead. Lots of protein!

thanks for the encouragement. Good luck on those last 2 pesky pounds.

Thanks Laura! It's nice to be able to peek back in and see how others are doing!

Best of success to you (note: I did not say luck! )
