Some people use the weight they have lost from the time they started their 3 or 6 months pre-op visits with their surgeon.
Sorry I am not too much help. Maybe someone else can help.
But I wanted to let you know that you are doing wonderful.

Just wanted to let you know that Pouch Party is throwing a protein shake tasting on January 29th in Baltimore!
Pre-ops, this is a good opportunity to sample some protein powders before you buy.
Newbies, if you're not liking your current shake or if you just want to get some inspiration, this is a great opportunity to do that!
Further outs can benefit from a little renewed inspiration every now and again too, right?
Here are all the pertinent details. I hope you can join us!

RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!
How are you doing?
You go back to basics for 5 days. It helps you see that your pouch still works if you eat the right foods. I must say I feel major restriction in my pouch today. I kept hoping for today because i would be able to eat soft proteins. But this morning I was not hungry at all. I actully ate a tiny bit of breakfast and got full really quick.
This is a very low carb and high protein diet. Just like when you was first post op.
I am giving you the link so you can read up on it.
it tells you want you can have for day through day 5. You also get recipe suggestions for each day.

You are so early out and we all have those fears of the surgery not working for us. But one thing that you need to focus on is that what you have is a tool. You are in control of your tool and you have to work your tool. I am 3 1/2 years post op and one thing I do know that when I start eating bad for what ever reason (I am an emotional eater) I sometimes think darn I guess this is it for me. I will be back to my own self before my RNY. But I give myself a swift kick on my own butt and I go back to basics to reclaim my confidence and to keep myself in check.
Before my RNY I was a Pepsi holic (not diet) I drank 2 to 3 liters a day. I had to quit drinking soda when I decided to have surgery. I also drank coffee but only 1 small cup a day. Then I began drinking coffee again like 6 months post op. But through out the past two years I have noticed that I have been depending more on coffee.
You are going to do wonderful, make the most of the first 18 to 24 months because it is easy to get rid of the weight but after that it requires lots of work to maintain it.
How much have you lost so far? Are you measuring once of month? It helps to measure so when you don't see the scale moving you see the inches going.
Best of luck on your journey.
