Thanks for the tip Lindsay!  I will have to check them out.  I saw online they had a bariatric sample pack on a website.  I would like to try that to see what I like as well.  Better than wasting a ton of money trying all of them and not liking any.   Quitting smoking is tough!  I quit in May of '06 because we were going to strat trying for a baby (and we got babies ha ha).  So I had good motivation.  I really enjoyed smoking though---still miss it sometimes in certain situations.  I smoked for a good 15 years.  I heard about some prescription that everyone raves about...that it took the cravings right away.  I think it is called chantix??  I wonder if you are allowed to take that pre-op.  I know the ibuprofen is out---so who knows what else you can't take.  Good luck...I know it is hard, but it will be well worth it when you can get your surgery date---maybe we will be around the same time.

Oh GOD, Lindsay. Isopure Alpine Punch was ok pre-op but now it's SO GROSS@ I hope that doesn't happen to you! Don't buy too much at once! My roommate at the hospital bought like 50 bucks worth and it made her sick and she couldn't bring the extra back! Be careful with the special K water ... Corinne said it has too much sugar (more that 5 grams). :)

Hi,Thanks for the advice but I have only bought 1 Isopure.I do LOVE the special K H2O , after I saw your message I had to go see how much sugar was in it .... mine has 0 grams of sugar.I buy the individual packets. They are so good,no aftertaste!I am still pre op but I like this now.im not sure if this is too many carbs for post op? New special K2O ,protien water mix  , Pink Lemonade 30 cal. fat 0g 6g carbs  0g sugar 5g fiber 5 grams protien < whey protien isolate > Niacin,b6 , B12

Oh! Now, I didn't know that there were packets! I was talking about the bottled stuff - water bottle sized - those had like 8 grams of sugar! You don't need to worry about the carbs ... Just keep the fat and sugar under 5 grams for anything you eat or drink (unless it's dairy and everything is ALWAYS over 5 grams, but that's ok!) Interesting about the Special K! I may have to try that! :) Where did you get it??

Welcome!  I wanted to respond to you mentioning Chantix for quitting smoking.  You should call your Dr. and make sure you can take it but it works wonders!  You will be alllll done smoking with NO desire to smoke after the first week.  It is absolutely amazing! Good luck on everything.  Remember, don't buy a lot of stuff to try now that you will be eatting/drinking after surgery because your tastes change dramatically so what you like now you might not after.
