Hi go2,

I find the program rigid too but I know in the long run this is the way it will be. I have stuck to it very well. The problem I'm having is I'm eating about 14-1500 calories a day. I have no problem getting in the protein. Some days it's over 100! Also, no problem with the sugar, fat and sodium. I've been eating a lot of fish and chicken. Instead of mayo on sandwiches I've used salsa or balsamic vinegar. Also cook with them. It's different but yummy. The more we do it now the more natural it will be later. I'm on my third week with the journal and I really don't eat bad or did eat bad but what has my attention is the portions. I was eating a ton of food when I thought I was doing ok. I do get hungry and you will but distract yourself if you can. I will have a low carb yogurt (Light and Fit) and then go for a walk. I find after exercise the hunger subsides a bit. I now walk a minimum of a mile a day. Some days I walk twice. Make sure to get all your water. That helps with staying full. Keep plugging along. You will do great.

Thanks!  I am working on the journal too ---only day 3 though.  It is funny because the journal has made changes in my diet.  Twice already someone has offered me something.  I wanted it, I normally would have had it...but I didn't want to write it down so I passed ha ha.

Me too! I didn't want to own up to it so I just passed. That way I didn't have to admit what I would have eaten. Like cheesecake! That is a major change for me. Even if I have a piece of gum I write it down. Good job. Keep up the good work.

Go2 and Pinky. It sounds like you ladies are doing wonderfully! Keep up the good work! It def is hard but it is worth every minute. It's funny that you said that you would pass on certain food items because I would do that too! It's the moment that you have to "admit" or "own" up to the fact you aren't eating healthily.  You two sound like you are on the right track, and Keep us updated! Missed you at the meeting last night.. It was fun!!

My last 9 lbs!! They are the hardest to lose it seems!!!!!

Thanks!  It is getting easier (now that I have several days in the book).  Now I can look back at the info I put in for yesterday for that sandwich etc. I am going to the pre-surgical meeting on the 13th---hopefully I can meet up with some others there.  All these people were at the info session with other people going through the process too or their significant other.....I sorta felt bad all by myself.  With twins though I think my husband and I have gone out together and alone for maybe 4 hours in the past 7 months. Do people that have not had surgery yet go to the post surgical mtgs?  Do you know if post op people go to the pre-surgery mtgs to talk about their experiences etc?
