It's weird soon after I got my surgery date and Christmas was coming - I got away from being obsessed with WLS.  Now I'm just a little over two weeks away from surgery having my final tests tomorrow...and I'm like OMG - I have so much to do to get my house in order before I go under the knife...well at least I guess I won't have time to get nervous, huh?

I was so unusually calm before and the day of.  I was just so ready for it.  I guess I made a good decision to go through with it!!

I got my date 10 days before surgery so I didn't really have time to stress out! I was too busy at work - they weren't covering me, so i had to get ahead before surgery or be really behind afterwards (ended up being some of both) and my days pre-op were filled with my last doc appt., all my pre-admission testing, tracking down all my prescriptions etc. I just was too busy to be stressed - and then the bowel prep hit ... and I was too busy to be stressed, but for a different reason! LOL Congrats on getting your date. This will be a life-changing event for you - I am so thrilled for you!!!

Holy cow---you got your date 10 days before surgery!  That sure would be nice!  I have no idea how it works, but I assumed once you got insurance approval the surgery was at least a month away.   I sure hope when my time comes it is quick like yours.  I am sooooo ready!

What you are feeling is very normal!!  Just enjoy the time before you go....the time is going to fly right by and your day will be here, and we will all be waiting to hear from you when you come out of surgery!!  Best of luck to you on your journey of a lifetime!!

Can you believe it is almost here!  Lists girl.  I am a list person---I swear I make a list for everything---at least a few a day.  Get together everything you need done and start at the top.  Crossing things off will make you feel better and not so overwhelmed.  Gosh you must be excited!

Thank you all for your responses here. I am very excited to get to that loser's bench - I know it's not going to be easy afterwards....but I am looking forward to having a tool to help me where I've failed before. PS Tanya....I agree lists are great.....my problem is I forget where I put my lists - drives my friends crazy!!!!!!
