In need to see Corinne
I"m so confused, I can't wait to see Corinne so she can tell me what to do. I was counting protein and cal. (which I had no clue how many, I had to ask 50 people) so after 1 month, didn't loose one lb. so now i'm dropping my cal from 1300 to under 1000. ok, fine, but what about the protein, does that still stay at 60-80 grs?? and low carbs. plus upping my walking. because right now today i'm out of protein, and need like 200 more cal. BOy do I miss my WW points. I wish Corinne would give us our numbers at orientation. Or did I miss that part???
haha, I'm starving, this is what I had today, but I'm way over on protein, it adds up to 89 gr. what do I cut out? I"m already hungry, cal are 734... any suggestions for a snack?

I also thin your calories may be too low. The calories I was given at my first one-on-one was 1300-1500 a day. Same as Lisa, under 5g fat, 5g sugar, 300 sodium etc. I think from the nutrition class she wants you to work on losing wight and watch what you are eating. Then she sees what you have been doing, tells you the calories to shoot for, and tweaks what might work.
I did not stay between 60-80 g of protein. I almost always got more. That is for after weightloss surgery and to shoot for at least that much (I believe). I had lots of days with 100 grams and it wasn't an issue at all. She wants to make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet through regular food---it will be easier after surgery if you know what foods give good protein etc (not just powders).
If you are exercising and watching what you eat you are fine. Try not to stress about it.
you're not eating enough. regardless of what she says you have for calories you still need 60-80 grams of protein a day and up to 85 oz. of fluids. fluids are water, sf popsicles, sf jello, crystal light, skim milk, clear broths, etc.
I'm 5'2" and when i started was 232.5 pounds. at my one on one visit she put me at 1200-1400 calories a day. 5 g or less of fat, 5 g or less sugar, 300 mg or less sodium, 2-4 grams or higher for fiber. i'm now down 14 pounds. for exercise i do 2 miles a day at least 4 days a week. no caffeine, no soda, no smoking, etc.
a typical day for me:
B: 1/2 cup sf/ff pudding with protein powder mixed in.
S: 8 oz. ff yogurt
L: 1 can of tomato rotini soup (progresso)
S: protein bar and 1/2 cup unsweetened apple cause or 1/2 cup peaches
D: 4 oz. tofu sauteed with 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1 cup zuchinni, 1 cup carrots, 1/2 cup onion, 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar.
I normally have 3 cups of decaf tea a day and fill the rest in with Crystal Light.
I get plenty of protein if not way more than 80 grams.
Keep up the good work. It's good to see you're on top of things.

I am really trying hard with no success. it is driving me nuts, I would have done ww, only I wanted to learn more about proteins. Ok, so I guess I can have a little more turkey tonight, hehe, Love you guys, thank you thank you
