Feeling good in the neighborhood..

So I am just a happy camper.  Things are going extrememyl well.  Absolutely no pain at all anymore.  I can sleep on my left side no problem.  I am able to do so much more now.  I can walk the neighborhood 3 times no problem too.  I am finally getting my energy back! And...duhn duhn duhn....real food!  Okay, not real food, but pureed and blenderized, plus eggs, tuna, mashed chicken in a can etc is gonna feel like real food to me. So I officially start the new food stage tomorrow, but for dinner I couldn't help it.  I had 1/4 cup of crabmeat (mashed and mashed and mashed with a tad of fat free mayo).  MMMMMMmmmmmm. It went down fine, tasted awesome, and I totally felt nice and satisfied.  So I was 12 hours early, but I just had to.  One thing at a time so I can make sure everything is okay,. Oh, and this is why I meant to post in the first place.  I totally put on a pair of my jeans today (okay I have lived in stretchy cloth pants since giving birth)!  And I tried on some tops and they were already too big.  I have lost like 13 pounds since surgery.  It is crazy that you can see a change in your face and in some clothes only 2 weeks out!

Tanya!  That is just super!!  I felt the same way right after surgery and still 8 months out!  We need to get together soon!  Maybe we can go take the babies out for a walk and do some shopping, when it gets a little warmer.

I am glad you are feeling so well. Im just about at the point of being able to eat anything now. ( within reason of course) 7 weeks tomorrow. I have lost about 30 pounds since my pre op meeting the thursday before surgery. WOWZA !! I hadn't really thought about that 58 total since September. I am amazing myself. Tanya I am glad you posted cause I have been a little discouraged this week the loss has been slow , but look at the overall picture. Im loving it. Now I just need to find that energy again.

Tanya, That is so great!!! I'm glad you're feeling so good. I remember my 1st scrabbled egg. It was kinda runny (made with millk, still eat them that way), it went down so well, then the next day it didn't. I was so frustated. Even if things don't go down to well the 1st time, wait a while then try again. Just keep trying things, they will go down comfortably in time. Congrats on your wow moment with your clothes today. It just keeps getting better. ~dori~

CONGRATULATIONS TANYA !!  I'm so glad to hear that you're doing so well. Isn't the energy level great? I still can't believe the difference in my energy level right after surgery. Even now, at 7 months out, I've got more energy then I knew ever existed for me. As for the food, pureed or otherwise, it's still FOOD. Just take things slow and steady. You'll soon be able to know what you can tolerate and what you can't. If you can't eat something now, wait awhile and try a little bit again. Things change even from week to week and month to month. If you think you notice a change now.....keep watching, you'll really be in for a treat ! I find myself surprised every time someone mentions how "good" I look. My image mentally, has had to come to grips with what I see in the mirror as being real. It's taken me a while but I'm slowly learning to fully embrace the "new" me and I know you will too! Congratulations again and keep up the good work. Anne

Glad to hear that things are going well for you - I still haven't gotten a lot of energy yet. Isn't it exciting to move along out of the nasty liquid diet?

Yes yes yes!  I am loving the fact that I can have other things if I want them.  I have had something (other than a drink) for breakfast/lunch and dinner.  Snacks have been the protein drinks so I can make sure to get all my protein in. What have you found that you are really liking??  How much are you eating at a time now?  Have you found anything you can't tolerate?
