Reviews on Dr Huang - Please Help!!

Are there any regular posters here who had Dr Huang as a surgeon? I am worried about being cut from MaineCare when these budget cuts go through and may need to get surgery done sooner rather than wait for Dr. Toder (though I really really want Toder!). I know that I do not want an open procedure so that leaves Dr. Huang who doesn't have as much experience or as good a bedside manner I have been told. But if it comes to having it or not having it I may have to compromise, and I do know that his complication rate is as good as Toders. Any info you can offer would be appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for watching out for me Kathy,

Its Holy week and I have several extra services this week in addition to homework and various appointments and meetings so I am crazy busy! On top of that I am still having issues with my CPAP which I am trying to resolve and this morning I was advised by Lynn Bolduc at EMMC that perhaps I might consider Huang, which is why I took a few minutes to post and put out some feelers.

And....I go for the Psych exam on Thursday and this may not be the best week to be evaluated. I am feeling just a bit disjointed!

I'll get through it, but thanks again for your concern!

Oh...and thanks for the link. I emailed MaryEllen just before posting to the group, but I think I have seen Dr Huang's name down as surgeon on a few other profiles, I just don't remember who!

Terri I had to change my mind about having toder also..I went with clough because I could have it done faster..so I could get back to work when school started up..I could of had Huang but clough was even sooner. I wouldnt wait either with the state cuts.. Barb

Hi Terri, Sorry I can't help with this issue either but wanted you to know I am thinking about you. Hope you are able to get what you need from a good doctor.  Best of luck making that decision and with the Mainecare!!  Ruth

I  was  at support group in Bangor  Tonite and a few  people were  just out of surgery and had  dr Huang and seemed pleased with him.    Try  going to a support group next month and maybe you can get  more info.

Hopefully, by then, I will be fully employed and will have health insurance that will provide coverage. There may be a brief gap between the two, but I will cross that bridge when and if I come to it.
