you know Ruth, your hair is so long, I think you should go and have 7-8 inches cut now, and it will be something new and excited, you've worked so hard, then after 3 more months and youve lost even more, go for a re- make over... you deserve 2 of them... go for it, both times... your awesome, I"ve missed you, and YOU are almost there girl.... hope your around this weekend, I'm here for you toots...  honkkkk

I left mine long for the hospital stay so I could just tie it up and not worry.  I cut it off a little over a month ago and just had it re-cut today going a little shorter!  I had a lot of hair to begin with so when I lost some it didn't really make a big difference.  My opinion ~ wait till after you recover because tied up long hair is so much easier then bed head shorter hair.   Congratulations on meeting your goal and doing so early!!!  Way to go

Were I you, I would definitely wait. Having long hair (I recently cut 3-4", but mine's still fairly long) in the hospital isn't as big a deal as you may think, you can put it up and will probably be able to wa**** within 48hrs post-op. What you don't know is how having the nutritional changes may affect it, and if you've already cut then your options will be limited as far as what you can do to "fix" it if it thins or breaks or whatever...also you don't know what your face may do as far as changing and you don't want to feel better about how you look, but be stuck with an unflattering hairstyle... ...it will always be there to cut later on. Best of luck to you!! Martha

Thanks everyone!  I think I'm keeping it for now...but it WILL be gone at some point!  DH works with someone who does Mary Kay stuff and wants help with a make over before I go back to work!  Should be fun!  Thanks for you input!
