I had Dr. Wolff she does ask some of her patients to loose weight but for me she did not. I did have to go on the liquid diet 2 weeks prior to surgery to shrink the liver. I did loose weight that way not a whole lot. My dad had the same Dr. and he did have to loose before surgery. we both started in Janurary of 07 and I had my surgery May 22, 07 and my dad had his Sept 4, 07 ~~~~~~~~ the whole team has to approve you not just the Dr.

For DH and me we started this process in October 2007 through EMMC. We were told is would be 6 months to get all the appointments in prior to seeing a surgeon. Actually for us, due to 2 snow storms and having to cancel appts twice,  it took 2 extra months to get an appointments with the dietician. Of course we wanted simultaneous or back to back appts, which was a challenge. Our initial appts with the surgeon are on June 17. The dietician did weigh us prior to the group nutritional meeting and again at our individual meeting.  She did question our diet and exercise levels.
