I think I'm gonna cry!
So, I went to the gym yesterday and worked pretty hard (I think?!?!) Last night, as I was getting clothes out of the dryer, I felt some really sharp pain in my lower left abdomen. I figured I just did too much abd stuff and it would go away. It woke me up a couple of times during the night but this morning, I felt pretty good. So, I've been working (home for lunch right now) and it's been getting worse as the day has gone on. Before surgery, I would have just taken an Aleve and called it good! Now, I can't! BOOHOO!! I've put a little ice on it (like I'm not cold enough already YIKES!) and I've taken a tylenol. Still hurts, especially when I'm standing or when I take a deep breath or have to tighten my abds (which is alot, considering I have to lift people and stuff half the day) Any ideas what else I can do? Staying home from work isn't an option! Thanks!! Ruth
Ruth, It sounds like your right, you might have done too much ab work, I'd give it a few days, how about heat on it? and BE CAREFUL lifting, boy, that's not gonna help it. do you have a belt to wear? report to your boss, you might have done it at work?? could it be a hernia? isn't that common with RNY? Good luck,
