I am going in to Dr. Loggin's office in 2 days for fill #6.  I've been debating for 3 weeks, my DH don't want me to get one, and I was unsure.  But, I am doing it.  the REason why i'm nervous, is I was down like 8 lbs. since my last fill, and was all excited, and now gainned 3 lbs. from the Holiday and am so bummed out.  I wanted to make Dr. proud of me, and I went and F'd it up.... well, maybe he'll be happy with 5 lbs.   I know I've dissapointed him so far.  I think I might starve myself tomorrow.

I was told that 5 pounds of fluctuation is "normal"........haha...tell my brain that!  I wouldn't starve yourself!  It'll work just the opposite of what you want....just my opinion  (and probably not right but you know me.......gotta put my 2 cents worth in!)  Good luck with the fill!  Do what you think feels right to you!  (BTW.......I don't think the doc is disappointed in you!)

I agree with Ruth - you've got to do what feels right for you.

I do NOT think of you f'ing  up - sheese woman. You are human - we all are. As far as you disappointing your doc - and from all accounts he is a good doc - he is also responsible in part for your success, making sure your tool works properly - you are a team.

My of the wisest thoughts that have been given to me by friends who are recovering alcoholics - aa has some good stuff - for you I would like to see you focus on progress not perfection.  Get rid of being bad or good.  I know this is a struggle for you - but you are still further along than you were last year at this time.

Cheryl,  Don't you worry girl your gonna make out just fine. Funny how we are always hardest on ourselves. Just think this is gonna be the fill that hits that sweet spot for you. Believe in yourself. If you don't few others will I have learned that the hard way. You will be in my thoughts today and tomorrow.

G'morning and Good Luck to you today !!

Ya gotta be more "positive"...
5 lbs. lost is better than 5 lbs. gained !!

Stop worrying about pleasing everyone else and concentrate on making YOU happy !!
This was a personal choice that we all made for ourselves ~ right ??

Take Care and Enjoy your day !!

Cheryl  you are too hard on yourself.   The band  is a tool   that is very slow with ups and downs.  You are doing  great.  Most doctors won't let patients have the band unless they think that they can succeed.   You   are  doing great and either are at the sweet spot or almost there.

Now it will be  your choices  that you make  ie  a diet   is a diet is a diet.   Calories  are still calories and if we dont  burn off what we take in  then we all know the consequences.   But  my  you have lost  5 pounds since you saw him last.   That is a great  accomplishment.

Have a great  day   and good luck on thursday  I  am sure all will be fine.

Good Morning, and Thanks guys, again, your all right.  I was hoping the scale would be down a lb. this morning, but "NOT".  was down .2??? hehe  anyway, had big meeting with State and "Their" cut won't affect my wages, only loosing 15 days of REspite "babysitting for my client"  I only have 15 instead of 30 but they will let us swap off with other home providers which is cool, cause MLM has a best friend who we will take in anytime, so we will do that.  anyway, hope the scale will drop another .2 in the morning, then I'll have lost 6 lbs.  (well that is on myscale)???   ok, have a great day...

you know??? you all tell me I"m hard on myself.   I think you'd all do the same, and I also think you have done the same.  I"ve heard some of you plateau for 2 weeks and be upset.  Why should I handle it any different?
