Dh took me out for supper tonight (our 9th anniversary was yesterday!)  Went to Ruby Tuesday's as he want their ribs.......I didn't really even want to go.......but whatever!  Why does everything have to include pasta or potatoes??  SHESSHH!!   Sorry....I'm in a mood!      Ended up with some Creole whitefish stuff which basically had no taste, some broccoli and sauteed mushrooms (substitution for some rice stuff they wanted me to have). Took at least half of it home with me and I KNOW no one will eat the leftovers!  What a waste!   Oh well!  I guess it's the thought that counts right?

Sorry to be venting!  DH just doesn't understand.........going out to eat just isn't like it used to be!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!!!

btw.........anyone up for chat this evening??  Let me know!

I hate spending the money for what little I eat, most of the time I end up just having an appetizer.

I was going to do that but most of the stuff was fried and it was almost as expensive as a meal!  Go figure!

Going out to eat has always been hard on me even before WLS as I am very sensitive to foods, like MSG, pork, processed meats and so on,,, now there is not a whole lot I can order on a menue but at Ruby Tuesday WHEN we do go I like to get the petite seloin and even that is too much I give more than half of that to my son,,,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

the only thing I have had when I go out, is chicken wings, I know they are high in fat, but I know they go down and I don't get stuck, I probably only get 3 or 4 down, witha side of salad.  But, i know my DH likes to go out, once in a while and why should he stay home cause of me? I just get the appitizers too, so I dont have to take 1/2 plate home and then get looked at weird.  I'll chat tonight.  what time?

We went to Rubys the other night, I ordered off the kids menu two mini burgers with some mash potatoshe looked at me like I had grown two heads, but it went down good (without the bread)

And it was cheap!!!

Yeah, I don't really like Ruby's. I even worked at one just out of undergrad. Ick!

If I have to go, my SIL likes it, I end up getting the salad bar and the quiche. It's like 50 cents more than just getting the salad bar! It is a big chicken and brocoli quiche and some tomato and mozzarella salad with the salad bar. A TON of food - even for pre-ops - but it works out ok and reheats well. I usually focus on the salad bar and then eat a few bites of quiche and then take that home.

Happy Anniversary!
