for Banders having a tough time
If there is anyone out here having a hard time with the band. I'm here. I can understand. I know a few of the banders here are getting sufficient fills and reached a good restriction fast, but for those of you who are in "Bandster Hell" , as I have been for almost 8 months now. Maybe I can help. First I believe, my Dr. and NUt need to address the band a little more, and not just give us all RNY information, and say just do the same thing. I personnally wasn't able to do the same thing and eat 600 cal a day, with no help. so that being said. A fellow bander and friend I met here on OH, from Texas has walked me through this and I think this might be a help. so here is my helpful advice to you guys. FIrst of all, "DR. ATKINS" no more then 20 carbs a day, approx 1000-1200 calories. REad your lables, you'll be amazed all those diet pudding, and sugar free things, are full of them. and getting in that protein is no longer a problem if you do this. I cut down this week, still working on learning and reading lables, so I did go over on most days, probably about 27 carbs. but the scale finally dropped the 7 lbs. I gainned over Thanksgiving week. If this keeps up, I see me breaking "200" next week. so I hope this helps you, cause I've tried everything, in every concoction. and as I've been and probalby many of you have been for many years of dieting, very confused. Low fat, Low sugar, low carbs, exercise, water, trying to do it all right, and just feeling like a freakin failure. This has been a long journey for me, and I hope your's can be a lot quicker and successful. PM me if anyone needs someone to talk to. Best of Luck, Cheryl
