I don't think there is anything wrong with Chewables.  I was under the assumption that childrens were not strong enough for wls patients tho. Not enough of what we need.  and Ruth, why you say your a weirdo and you deserve it?  to each his own.  if you like them, go for it.  I personally didnt' like the sweetness of the Centrum, eww, but I do chew the choc. ones, its my mini desert. at night.

I was told to be careful with Flinstones cuz of the sugar. If I was to take a kids vitamin I was to take 2. I bought Centrum chewables and when I finished them I switched to a daily multi vitamin. I take one twice a day.

Emily,

You are not the only one that has missed it, I am sure.  I see a lot of postings from people taking Flintstones.   I am not sure why a Nut would have you take them at all anyway.  But all Bariatric Programs are different. Flintstones are made for Children, there are not enough vitamins for an adult.  Especially adults that are malabsorbing RNY patients.  Also, makes sure the Calcium your take says Citrate and not Carbonate.  As we can not absorb the carbonate. This is another misconception for a lot of patients.  Viactiv is Carbonate and is suggested by my surgeons office as well. You would just be wasting your money on it.

Well, hope you don't have to take it long.  I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I haven't noticed any joint pain. But I am also on some very heavy drugs for it. But I would ask about the caltrate, because I think it is a waste as you aren't absorbing any of it.   Our systems just aren't able to break down any calcium carbonate.
