being around "normal eaters"

I'm with Butterfly Girl.  I can't punish my family due to my choices.  I made hubby the most yummy looking patty melt, grilled onions included but did not resent it.  I would have loved to have had one bite, but I'm early out and can wait.  I'm the family anchor and all the holidays are here.  Our holidays revolve around good meals.  This does not mean I will no longer do the holiday dinners.  So it will take me four days to eat mine  but we will still have the gatherings.

Now when we go out I will have a good excuse to take a bite from everyone's plate.   and call it my dinner.

I guess I am in the honeymoon stage because I am more eager to see the scale move than to have that bite.

Hi Guys,

Very interesting transisitons happening in this household.  I am so wrapped up making my little meals that hubby comes over to the kitcen and makes his own now.  It is great to work side by side in the kitchen.

I can't carry the groceries yet, so we went to the super market together.  It was great, we walked the isles, he picked up what he wanted, I picked up what I wanted.

We ALWAYS get take out on Friday nights and he would have beer and I would have diet coke and rum.  Then we would watch a movie.  Friday came and went and he forgot to get his take out meel.  I fully encouraged him to order what he wanted and bring it home once we realized.  I would be happy with my mush.  It did not bother me much.  I just looked for a moment at the fried chicken and fries.  Then I thought of how it would feel to have a bit of either or both and I just about woofed my mushies.  No interest...

The other thing is, hubby is slowing adopting some of my good habits.  He is eating less carbs, he is eating more fruit, he is taking a mulit-viatamin.  He is drinking more water, eating more protein...  all kind of thngs.  Not because I told him he 'should'.  Because he sees how good I feel about what I am eating.  He has decided he wants to lose some weight and get healthier.  Yippppppeeeeee!

My birthday (and one month surgaversary) is on July 12th.  We are going to go to a restaurant for the very first time.  I can't wait.  I am going to have somehting I have not had since surgery.  I trust myself not to overeat, or eat too fast, or pine for others food.  I am so content so quickly with my new sleeve.  What a treat eating is now...  Everything tastes so darn good!

All the best,

Cindy
