Hi all-

Had revision from Lap Band to DS with Dr. Alejandro Lopez and team in Tijuana on 11/2.

I understand I was in there for a long time (5+ hours) and delayed others (sorry!) due to lots of scar

tissue and complication of 2 large hernias he had to work around.  (Those will get fixed after

I lose weight).  He was still able to do the surgery with the scope and didn't have to open me

up for which I am so grateful!

Other than some pretty severe nausea and a few reactions to either medication or one kind

of the surgical tape - things went pretty smooth!  Dr. Lopez is terrific and everyone on his team

is extremely professional and efficient.  I am 10 days out and still pretty sore but haven't had

to take any pain meds since I left the hospital.  Usually make me sick so better off without them!

Not having any trouble getting liquids in but folks are right - some things sure don't taste the same!

My husband was sleeved a few hours ago. He is miserable- pain and nausea. I feel helpless. 

Surgery was successful- no issues. Doc said it was a big stomach!

i hope he feels better soon.

So I finally decided getting the sleeve was best for me, I am just tired of living like this and want my kids to have a mom that can run and play with them. I will be going have my sleeve done by Dr. Quinones, he seemed like the best for me. I like the way others have talked about the way he treated them, and how nice his staff is. Plus I liked his credentials. Everyone pray for me because my life is about to change.

Checking the surgeons credentials really depends on what all you are trying to verify. Some things are easy to verify while others take a bit more leg work, but there are ways.
