I am scheduled to have a V G S procedure 5.22.15 with Dr Ortiz with ALM. Is it safe to go alone? What should I bring? Anyone's experience with surgery in mexico would be greatly appreciated!
Research Dr. Ramos Kelly. Excellent surgeon. He has a Facebook page also. Linda
I also saw bad comments about Dr Almanza. It sound like a factory and he does like 12 surgeries a day. I read an article by a guy named Steve that had a very bad experience with him. I plan on using Dr Ortiz at A Lighter Me. I have spoken to about 6 people who used him. I also chatted with him on his FB page. Good luck!
Yes but don't you wonder why ? It's because they are the best of the best and work from the best facilities that tend to cost more. I'm spending all my time in an actual hospital and not a hotel. You get what you pay for. When it comes to a little lower cost surgeons maybe check out Ramos-Kelley or Dr. Illan Iv heard great things about them, though honestly I don't think Dr. Rodriguez changes that much for a sleeve, I'm having a revision to MGB for $7900 and he does in house financing as well.
The cost of the surgeons you recommended are so much higher than the others
I would go with Crovela or Whilmey, I didn't, I'm going with Rodruguez, but the first three were all on my list and I have not read one negative thing about Crovela or Whilmey.
Thanks for the feedback. I am looking into the hospitals and see how they deal with a serious emergency because I am unfamiliar with the MX medical care. I am reading all kinds of reviews from all over and am getting a clearer idea. I know it is easy to rule out some very quickly!
Some of the small hospitals seem more like surgical centers by US standards.
it looks like I am now down to Valenzuela, Garcia, A. Ortiz and Corvala coincidentally in ascending cost. The first two are 2K less than the others listed.
I used Ariel Ortiz for my band in Jan 2008. Lost about 200 pounds and haven't had any problems. Went back for a couple fills also. Great experience!
