Sounds like he is a miserable, overweight person who's probably in a lot of pain, and maybe he's actually a little jealous you had the surgery and got thin and feel better and look better than him? Thanks Theresa Ya know, this is the first place where i have not told anyone at work i had wls. It's not about being judged neither, i just don't think ppl working in fast food want to know this. This guy is huge, i have no idea how he gets around like he does. I always look at him and in my heart i feel so bad for him. He is always sick, has asthma , had pneumonia twice in the last month and a half, and he's never happy. He smokes cigars constantly and drinks every day. But he has no business being in management. He has no people skills and is just plain lazy. I talked to the store manager last night and he was very upset. He's been trying to put me in management since i started, but i won't take it. He told me last night that he would take over doing the schedules and assured me that since i am his best worker, i will get 40 hours. But since he won't see the manager i argued with til thursday, i am off til friday. Then friday him, I, and the jerk will sit down and talk. The jerk will either be suspended or fired for the threats he made to me and the words he said, which i asked him not to fire him. But today is a better day. I'm not upset anymore. I went to my kids' conferences and they all got all a's, that made me happy. Thanks for your sweet response. Hugs Linda

Linda, Gosh, I would be really bummed out too if I had that kind of a day! We have a great bunch of friends who are supportive here, don't we? You can't make a jerk boss be less of a jerk. Remind yourself that you are OK...you are a person with dignity and you deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. You did the right thing by being proactive and talking to the next boss up. When I have these kind of days I try to sleep a little extra , I drink lots of cold delicious water, I do one project that makes me feel better, I listen to music that lifts my soul and I meditate. Tonight we are all with you. Get rid of those bad vibes!

Hi Karen yes we do have a great bunch of wonderful people here, and i love every one of you. This guy really is a jerk, and believe me, i am usually on top of the world. There's just been so much going on lately, and this guy just said the wrong thing and made me snap. I feel sorry for him. But you know, i demand respect from everyone, whether it's my boss or not. I don't dislike many people, i'm very easy to get along with. My boss likes me so much that i have my own key to the store, i'm not management, and i've only been there a couple of months. But his other managers are never on time , so i let myself in and do my work. I decided last night that i'm not gonna keep worrying about the money, it doesn't do any good.
