1. Christmas in a tropical place, or here in wintery Michigan?
** and what tropical place would you like to be in???**
Actually, I really love the snow and wouldn't want to be anywhere but Michigan.
2. Favorite Christmas Song that you always listen to around the holidays?
O Holy Night (this takes my breath away)
3. Do you make your presents or buy them? (nothing wrong with either...) just wondered if you make stuff, what do you make?
When my kids were small, I would bake fruitcakes and banana bread, wrap them in festive towels. My husband would take the kids and the goodies around to all of our elderly neighbors. While they were making their rounds "Santa" would come and when they came home, they would be so excited to see all the presents. Now days my husband and I deliver the goodies together. Otherwise I try to buy gifts that fit each person.
4. How many people in your world will be with you on Christmas morning to open presents? And where will you be this year???
Probably 4 : my hubby, my mom, daughter and me. Later on the weekend all the kids and spouses and grandchildren will come; 19 total.
5. Your favorite Christmas Memory. The one that sticks out forever.
The first year we were married, my husband and I went to midnight mass in Oklahoma City. The church was a modern style, with the outside walls similar to a traditional Jewish temple. The inner sanctuary was all glass: walls and roof. Everyone was given a candle when we came in and we stood and sang and prayed. At that moment huge snow flakes began falling and seemed to surround us, above and all sides. It felt like we were in some holy otherworld. . Some of us began crying and we all stood close in the moment. I have never forgotten that.
