Hi Everyone, I am freaking out here! How long were you post op before you had a weight gain? My BIGGEST fear is gainning my weight back and it is all I seem to think about! I have gainned 3-4 pounds recently and I am struggling to lose it but it just seems sooooo hard. I haven't lost anything in months.....My year anniversary was on November 29th, is this normal will I ever start losing again???????? Any info will be much appreciated, I am really stressed about this!!!!!! Thanks, Your WLS Pal, Jennifer V.

Jennifer, I see there is nothing in your profile on your last year to see how you have done this last year. You had the surgery a year ago and at that time I was still losing. I was still on my Honeymoon period. I did go 12 pounds below my goal because I was anticipating the weight gain bounce once you are 2 years out. I got down to 130 and now after 2 years out I am 141 lbs. I started upping my exercising and cutting the carbs because I feel more comfortable at my goal of 138 not 141 lbs, I would suggest doing the same by upping the exercise and no sugar and few cards. Take care JANICE

Hi Janice, Thanks for the info........I don't understand why my profile isn't showing anything I have over a years worth of updates on it. Stacey W. just did a really nice job on my new profile. Thanks again! Your WLS Pal, Jennifer V.

We all bounce around a little. You may gain and then lose. I went way past goal and had to fight to get some back. I can drop 5 in a heart beat. But I am a man and that happens to us. All different kinds of things figure in - Length of bypass, pouch size, food addictions, gender, activity level, stress, support, blood levels, work,,,,, all these things factor in and in combinations create all kinds of fluctuations. Don't sweat it. If you worry you get nowhere fast with a frown. If you just go with the flow and wait it out it will be fine. If you are wanting to do something about it jump start your metabolism again and start eating like you did when you were a month out. Increase your water and add 3 20 minute walks a week to your schedule. I bet you'll start you lose again. That is if you really need to. kp
