I do have to say I need a angle to help me through this time of trying to get surgery RNY....I was turned down due to being on medicade now I'm on medicare and looks like it will go through...I'm just full of fear and would like it if people would talk with me about the in's and out's post and after ect...
Thanks

Hi Casey,
I went through medicare and medicaid to be approved for surgery and the only thing extra I had to do was a 6 month documented diet, so if you are still in the process it may be a good thing to ask your center if it is required from medicare,I waited until everything was done or so I thought, and I thought I had enough diet documentation. My surgery was scheduled for 8/21, but got postponed until I can get a couple of health issues taken care of. It may be postponed, but I will still have it!!
I finished the diet documentation and I was approved the next day. The center I am dealing with took care of it all, insurance wise. I'm dealing with Hurley.
Hope this helps.

Don't get in a knot. It won't do you any good. Do your homework on the SX and start practicing being a GAP now. Start your walking and water routine. Try protein products. Learn to eat on a schedule and chew your food and wait between bites. Get used to it now and you won't fail later.
And stop being scared.
