Just wanted to let everyone know about my pregnancy. I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and soo excited. Yes, it was a big oops, but I still am very happy. I just want all you ladies to know that it can happen. I weighed 408 at my highest weight before I started my pre op diet. I have been overweight my whole life, and in turn, have been infertile. My periods would be all over the map. I always thought I couldnt get pregnant and then God blessed me. I am nervous and scared but so happy I am able to have kids! I am now down 80 lbs 3 monthes post op and I feel great. I have sooo much farther to go, but now I have another reason in this world to work so hard towards my goals!

Hope everyone has a great New Year!

Congrats on the wonderful news.   Keep up the good nutrition, and you should still be on the losing side after the baby.   God bless Pam

Congratulations on the pregnancy!  At least with the gastric sleeve you do not have quite the nutritional issues that you would with the full duodenal switch.    You will still have delivered your new baby within the eighteen month "window of opportunity" and I know of several DSers that have had successful pregnancies and still continue to lose throughout the pregnancy. Good luck!
