I used to be a lurker

Hi Ive been lurking around this board for about 6 years now. And I finally have enough money to pay for my surgery,I am having RNY on the 18 of Jan. I just wanted to say hello to my fellow Michiganders!

I'm a lurker also,I come out from time to time to let everyone know I'm still here.Hold on girl your in for the ride of your life!!.Good luck with your up coming surgery and welcome to the board.The people on the Michigan Board are awesome.You'll never meet a nicer bunch of people.

Welcome Wendy! I too have just joined and am going thru MMPC doc's. Though I don't have a date and surgeon picked out yet. I'am getting RNY. Kristin

Hi There:
I am not on this board too often, as I usually post on the over 50's forum, but I wanted to say hello and congrats on your upcoming surgery. Dr. Kemmeter was my surgeon and I just loved him. I didn't have any problems at all and my recovery was smooth and easy. I live in Sturgis which is a little over 100 miles from G.R., so I have a "trip" whenever I have to come up there. I go back up for my six months check up Feb. 18th.

Best wishes on your surgery, I am confident it will go just fine with Dr. K. in charge!!

UPDATE! 1-21-08  I am home now. Surgery went well. I had some bad reactions to pain meds and high white blood counts and had to stay an extra day. Now I am home and resting...cant do that in the hospital. I took my first step in this journey and now baby steps. Thanks to everyone that sent me well wishes and prayers. -Wendy
