Good afternoon.
First I would like to say I appreciate your daily messages and uplifting spirits.  I usually lurk around; and decided  it was time I joined the upbeat gathering.

As a brief story - I had the VSG on 7/1/08 and have lost 85 #'s to date, plus 25 before surgery for a total of 110 #'s.  Very
SPRING< SPRING< SPRING<  Is it here yet???

This AM I drank hot cocoa with protein after I drank 16 oz water.  Then a couple of string cheeses.  I hate breakfast so I have to improvise.

I Usually have 2-3 layers on to stay warm.  Feet/toes are usually coldest the longest.

Busy weekend starting tomorrow with an aunt's funeral (97 yrs old); then pick-up BF's g'son from school; go to a friend's 6 yr old birthday party on Sat, and  the usual weekend responsibilities.

Afternoon All!

Ok yesterday I didn't complain about the cold, but man knowing we have 2 more days of this is just depressing.

Lunch today was leftovers from dinner last night, 1/2 of a chicken burrito (mostly the chicken) a bite or two of re fried beans and some carrot sticks.

A:  Since surgery I have become the cardigan sweater queen.  2 of the walls in my office are window's so unless it's sunny in the winter it's usually pretty darn cold in here.  Yesterday it was 57 in my office when I got here, my space heater never got turned off all day!  But today with the sun, and the fact that they got in my office 1/2 before I got here this am and turned on my heater, it's been pretty nice.  Only my feet are cold today.

Two layers for me, including a pull over sweater and a cardigan.  Isn't it funny how cold we get as we lose weight?  I was NEVER cold 70 pounds ago.

Good afternoon everyone!

Had to run out for an appointment this morning, so did a MickyDs half coffee / half cream.  I keep hearing people say that McDs coffee is so great -- I haven't yet come to that conclusion.  I am usually a latte girl though, so that could be the reason.

Lots of layers every day!
<-------  This is me, freezing cold.  I love the silk crewneck & turtleneck from Lands End.  They are thin, but effective.  Under that, I usually wear a long-line sports tank, so that is two layers.  Then, a turtleneck and fleece sweatshirt.  Since I work from home, I can get away with tight leggings & pajama bottoms -- but under a down comforter & wool blanket.  All this with the house temp at 70F, the fireplace going, and a space heater.  If my body temp doesn't regulate by next winter, I will not be spending it in Michigan!

Haven't even thought about plans for the weekend yet!  Usually get together with the same friends; the house just rotates.  Kelly H. turned me onto a new dice game, so I got the dice this morning -- maybe I will be able to convince people to put the euchre cards down and try something new.
