I have been trying to find a doctor in MI that will accept Adult Waiver Medicaid. I have called several offices that accept Medicaid; however, they do not accept Adult Waiver Medicaid. Please help!!! If you could share with me offices in MI that accepts the Adult Waiver Medicaid, it will really help me to move forward with the next chapter in my weightloss journey.

My D.S. was done by Dr. Kemmeter 8-29-11. I have all good things to say about all the doctors, PA's, nutritionists, exercise physiologists, nurses, cognative therapy and topic lecture gals, and business staff. Special thanks to my nutritionist Christine, and hospital coordinator Cathy Mooney for answering all my endless questions pre and post surgery. Last but not least- Dr Kemmeter, who with his creative mastery of the Duodenal switch, single handedly jettesoned me into a better life through modern medicine, and surgical prowess.

Topic: Primary Care Doctor that supports WLS in Downriver Area
Does anyone know of any primary care physicians that support WLS in the Downriver Area? I had WLS done in 2007 and would like to try to get some reconstructive surgery, and my present primary care physician just says he has never seen insurance cover it. Granted he may be right, but he doesn't make that decision. I wanted him to document my back pain and all he tells me is that he doesn't prescribe narcotics.... I don't want narcotics, I just wanted the pain documented. He has never been supported of me having the WLS. So it is time that I make a change!! Any suggestions would be helpful!!

I drive 1/12 hrs from Kalamazoo to GHP. His practice is well worth thre trip. The staff is so nice and caring. He is a super person, and great listener. Excellent credentials, the best!!!! I was so pleased with every aspect of my D.S. surgery, and after care. I would do it the same, If I had to do it over, and I would do it in a heartbeat!!!! It was definitely the right surgery over all the others, and the right surgeon.

I would recommend Dr. Foote, he has his practice with Grand health Parteners in Grand Rapids but also has his practice at North Ottawa Hospital in Grand Haven
