the cast is on...let the healing begin

That's awesome, Dorthe - Moving ahead is a good thing, even when it scares us!  I'll send up a prayer that the healing will go well and you'll have no problem learning a new way to walk!

I was just thinking about you yesterday at Lakeville coffee.  And I'm so glad you had the surgery and are on the mend.  If you EVER want a ride to coffee, let me know and I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to pick you up and bring you!!!!  We miss you already!!!!  And I ditto that you let us know if you need ANYTHING -- any of us would be MORE THAN HAPPY to help you out ~~ cause then we get to visit with you too!!!! Hi Dorthe!  Now that you're back home, I hope you're able to stay there a while and recuperate.  I'm glad that you'll have some flexibility. I was under the  impression that your ankle would be totally immobile. You take care! God bless~ **SUE**

  HI SUE:  the decision on the ankle was make in the operating room.  they found they only needed to fuse the forward backward motion = THANK GOD.  So it'll be interesting to see what happens when the cast comes off.  and yeah, i'll be staying here until the 5th, when i get the cast changed out.  you take care, too, sue. have a great week. dorthe

Dorthe, So sorry to hear about all your troubles.  As Eileen said, let the family take care of you.  It's hard for moms, but just let go. Haven't seen you in forever.  One of these days I will actually make a coffee somewhere. Take care.
