YIKES!!! I HAVE A SURGERY DATE

Thank you to all who prayed for me... I just received a call today that I am going to have surgery on January 2,2007.  I am so excited and freaked out at the same time and I feel like I have so much to do before then.  Any advise would be sooooo much appreciated, I am very much a planner so anything I can do right now to take care of the small things like what to bring to the hospital?  My mind is a complete blank and any suggestions what I can have during my liquid diet, I know I will be going over that stuff with the dietician but I would like to get some ideas on what to purchase sooner than later.    Erika

chapstick for the hospital... it's a lifesaver!  Congrats on the date!!! Betcha you'll just be kissing everybody new years eve won'tcha!!! hahaha I'm sooooo excited for you!!!!

CONGRATS!!!  Wooo HOOOOOO!!!!  Chapstick a must!  The rest is blurry due to good meds.  Get your house cleaned, grocery shop for your whole diet after surgery for the first week or two(not that you need a whole lot!),  For your LD diet don't forget SF Bomb pops!!!  Those are nice after the first 2 weeks post op also!  Pack your personal stuff like toothpaste, soap, ect.    THEN just sit back and RELAX!!!  You'll be on the losing side soon!!  A new year and a NEW YOU!!!

Oh My Gosh!!!!   I'm so excited for you!!!!   We need to try to fit a coffee or something in there if possible.   This weekend is nuts with Christmas so close.   I'm having my tubes done the Friday after christmas  the 28th and the 30th is my hubby's birthday.  Wow I just realized how soon that is.   Post something and I will try my best to make it....hopefully Missy can too.    We can be your cheering section.   Jan 2nd holy cow!!!    That means liquid diet for Christmas though huh?    Stock up on sugar free popsicles...they were my lifesaver during mine.   I bought way too much jello and should've known since I don't like jello anyway.   Let me know if you have any questions or just need to chat.   Woohooo soon you'll be joining us as a loser!!

Lisa, Missy and Sandie Thanks for the information and well wishes.  That sure helps, and Sandie I will be in your neck of woods on Christmas day, my parents live in North Branch.  And, I sure wish I could come down to North Branch more often so I could attend the coffee socials.   Well, thanks again have alot to get together and I will keep everyone posted. OOPS!!!  I JUST NOTICED I POSTED MY SURGER DATE AS 01/02/07, that should have been January 2, 2008 I'm already having problems with writing 2008, hard to believe it just around the corner. Michelle,  You must've been posting at the same time as well..... I would love to try and get together as well. I have appointments all week.   Otherwise, anytime this weekend would work for me or after except on December 27th  I have an appoitment and the 27th is also the date for the support group at 6:00 p.m. in St. Mary Hospital .   So, whatever would work for you I'm open but of course I'm not available on the 2nd of January. Congrat's Erika!! What a way to start your new year whoopee!!  I guess for me the only liquids I ever did was jello, water, crystal light and chicken soup(broth only of course).  But nothing tasted really all that good so as long as I was getting something in me that was all I was concerned about.  I never did the juice thing because I don't like juice!  I still don't drink any juice~jus****er!  I was really happy to put on my comfy clothes once they let me shower.  That was the best thing I remember bringing with~that and a toothbrush and toiletries(soap and stuff) they have stuff but I love having my own and good smelling stuff!!  So I just got some travel size stuff that I can use in the future ~ when I travel~LOL  I wish you all the best and I am excited for you to join us all on the loser's bench!
